Nocturnist – Prestonsburg, KY Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Position Overview An established healthcare system in Eastern Kentucky is seeking a dedicated Nocturnist Physician to join its experienced hospitalist team. This role is key to providing high-quality inpatient care overnight in a supportive and collaborative environment committed to improving the health of Central Appalachian communities. You’ll work alongside skilled physicians, nurses, and support staff to manage patient care transitions, address acute medical needs, and ensure continuity of care throughout the night. Key Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive inpatient care during overnight hours. • Manage acute medical conditions and coordinate care with daytime hospitalist teams. • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing, specialists, and ancillary staff. • Ensure accurate, timely documentation and participation in quality and safety initiatives. Qualifications • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. • Skilled in managing a broad range of inpatient conditions overnight. • Dependable, team-oriented, and committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
