Job description
We are seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Nocturnist physician to join hospital medicine team in Pueblo, Colorado. This is a full-time, permanent position focused on delivering high-quality patient care during night shifts in a supportive, innovative healthcare environment.
Job Responsibilities
• Work 144 twelve-hour shifts annually (6-on, 9-off schedule)
• Support advanced practice providers (APPs)
• Participate in a closed ICU model (staffed by Pulmonary/Critical Care)
• Collaborate with a large, physician-led healthcare team
• Use EPIC EMR system-wide for patient documentation
• Optional extra shifts available
Qualifications
• Active Colorado medical license or willingness to obtain (preferred)
• DEA license (required before start)
• Clean malpractice history (preferred)
• Not open to locums candidates
Working Hours
• 144 shifts per year (6 days on, 9 days off rotation)
• Additional shifts available
Skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EPIC preferred)
• Strong clinical judgment and patient-first mindset
