A community hospital in Suffolk, VA is in need of a Nocturnist for locum coverage starting in June, through at least September. 10-14 shifts per month is preferred, but providers with less availability, as long as it is somewhat consistent, will be considered! May be able to accommodate a 7 on / 7 off schedule as well.

- HIGHLY COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION!
- Full travel expenses covered (flights, lodging, car & fuel or mileage).
- Pre-paid Med Mal Ins is covered.
- Target Start: June 2024 (preferred)
- Duration: June through September (may extend)
- Shifts: Nights, 8p-8a.
- Preference for 10-14 shifts/month (may be able to accommodate 7 on / 7 off schedule).
- Patient Population: Adult.
- Admissions: 8-12 per shift.
- No in house codes.
- Not a trauma center.
- Average Number of Patients Per Day-ADMISSIONS: 8-12 per shift
- Average Number of Patients Per Day-ICU: Closed medical ICU (24-hr Intensivists responsible to admit to med ICU)
- Average Number of Patients Per Day-INPATIENT: Total patient census runs 88+
- 7-10 admissions overnight in addition to floor calls.
- APP Coverage: Daytime only. No overnight APP coverage.
- No other Hospitalists present during shift.
- EMR: Epic.
