Will be flexible to allow for short term (13 weeks), long term (1 year to 3-year) and, where feasible

Start date: April 2024

Shifts/Work Hours: Hospitalist Tour of Duty: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, 12 hours per shift, 84 hours per week, Monday through Sunday, 7 days on and 7 days off. Nocturnist Tour of Duty: 8:00 pm to 8:00 am, 12 hours per shift, 84 hours per week, Monday through Sunday, 7 days on and 7 days off. There is no 24-hour shift on the weekend, contractor shall work 12 hours per shift both Saturday and Sunday as part of their seven days on. The contractor shall be subject to working longer/overtime hours if patient load demands are present to provide coverage in the Emergency Room and the Inpatient Units: Adult Care Unit, and Special Care Unit; Internal Medicine/Pediatric Hospitalist or Nocturnist shall provide coverage in the Pediatric Care Unit and the Nursery if necessary. • Overtime Hours after 8:00 pm (Hospitalist) or 8:00 am (Nocturnist).

The Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility (CCHCF) is based in Chinle, Arizona (Northeast Arizona near Canyon De Chelly National Monument). The CCHCF is a 60 bed hospital which serves as the health care hub for the region. The medical staff includes Family Physicians, Internists, Pediatricians, General Surgeons, OB/GYN's, Anesthesiologists, and a Psychiatrist. In addition to routine outpatient and inpatient primary care, services available to our patients include: Adult Intensive Care, General and inpatient primary care, services available to our patients include: Adult Intensive Care, General Surgery (including laparoscopic surgery), routine and operative Obstetrics, and 24-Hour Emergency Room Services. Health care services are provided to approximately 37,000 active users. Strong Navajo cultural traditions exist within the community, offering an opportunity to learn the Navajo language, or to learn about traditional Navajo medicine. The service unit is located on the Colorado Plateau with excellent opportunities for photography, hiking, running, road biking, cross country skiing, and mountain biking. Canyon de Chelly National Monument is within 5 miles of the hospital and is a wonderful place for exploring and sightseeing, running and mountain biking.

Qualifications
Be board certified. Candidates just graduating residency may be board-eligible only. § Completed US residency. § Not had loss of licensure or suspended licensure of ANY medical profession. § Not had a lapse in practice > 6 months leading up to assignment at CCHCF. § Be able to commit at a minimum to 7 days on/7 days off for at least 4 weeks at a time. § A valid unrestricted DEA with schedule II - V. § Any lawsuits or board actions, please enumerate
