GENERAL SUMMARY:
We are looking for a provider with outstanding health care skills in interoperative neuromonitoring to help patients who are experiencing all types of neurological disorders. The Neurologist will monitor cases remotely (off-site) to provide patients with exceptional service. The Neurologist will cover cases nationwide, as well as help with the companies’ education program.
ESSENTIAL WORK SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
- Monitor brain and spine cases
- Educate and train new candidates in new modalities as needed.
- Participate in all continuing education activities to maintain and expand company competency
- Log any pertinent data into the current EMR system
- Participate in neuroscience research activities
- May advise the operating physician on occasion
- Communicate with a healthcare professional regard patient’s conditions and care.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary
Skills and Abilities:
Able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodations, including but not limited to:
- Able to monitor and interpret nerve conduction studies, multimodality evoked potentials, routine EEG.
- Ability to multitask may read multiple cases at once
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with other co-workers (Surgeons, Neurologists, Neuromonitoring technicians, and the corporate office)
- Able to submit reader reports in a timely fashion
- Familiarity with Cadwell systems
Experience and Training:
- 1 year of monitoring experience required.
- Board Certified
- Current state licenses in our active territories.
- Fellowship in clinical neurophysiology preferred
- Ability to communicate and educate staff.
- Knowledge of laws that regulates communication and privacy act. HIPAA laws and understanding of the application of all above
