A leading healthcare organization in Memphis, TN is seeking a Neurologist with expertise in Movement Disorders to join its expanding team. The physician will collaborate closely with neurosurgeons to evaluate and manage candidates for advanced therapies such as Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) and MR-guided Focused Ultrasound (MRgFUS), while providing comprehensive neurological care to patients with a range of movement and neurodegenerative conditions.
Job Responsibilities
• Diagnose and manage patients with movement disorders and other neurological conditions.
• Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests including CT, MRI, EEG, and myelograms.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans.
• Prescribe appropriate medications, therapies, and lifestyle recommendations.
• Provide inpatient consultations, admissions, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
• Participate in the planning and development of neurological services and clinical research.
• Contribute to teaching and mentoring junior physicians and healthcare staff.
Qualifications
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency Program.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
• Active medical license and controlled substance certification.
• Fellowship training or strong experience in Movement Disorders preferred.
