Neurosurgery opening in Michigan Located in Midland MI Full Time Permanent Surgical cases are performed at Medical Center Midland with offices located directly on campus, making it convenient for both staff and patients alike. Medical Center in Midland is a 328-bed medical center located in a tranquil setting on 180 beautifully wooded acres. Midland is an upscale, family oriented community of nearly 40,000 centrally located in Michigans Lower Peninsula less than two hours from the Detroit Metropolitan area. Due to the healthy economic status Midland is capable of offering a diverse and sophisticated selection of cultural, educational, recreational and leisure activities. Requirements Full time BC/BE experienced neurosurgeon or graduating resident or fellow. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical and technical skills with experience in the latest neurosurgical techniques. The recruitment focus is in operative general neurosurgery however we are prepared to support and nurture subspecialty clinical interests. Functional neurosurgery opportunities are available through Gamma Knife surgery, deep brain stimulation and vagus nerve stimulation. Reason for Recruitment Active recruitment is being launched to support growth in the neurosurgical service line. Lengthening wait times, increased demand for functional neurosurgery and the need for additional coverage are key drivers in launching a search for an addition to the neurosurgery department. Practice Details This broad based neurosurgical practice includes spine, cranial and peripheral nerve surgery. A full range of state-of-the-art equipment is available including neuro-navigation and stereotactic radiosurgery. Additionally, functional neurosurgery opportunities are available through Gamma Knife surgery, deep brain stimulation and vagus nerve stimulation.
