BC/BE Pain Management physician needed to join a group with 2 other physicians, 2 CRNA' s, 2 APP' s and an RN. The group seeks a physician who specializes in pain management; training in anesthesiology, physical medicine, or neurology. Examines patients to determine discomfort level and cause of pain. Recommends tests to determine extent of pain, help diagnose condition, or manage pain. Provides relief from acute or chronic pain through the use of medications, nerve blocks, electrical stimulation, or other therapies. Proficient in interventional techniques: nerve blocks, fluoroscopy, radiofrequency, spinal cord stimulation, etc.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Maintain regular attendance based on agreed-upon schedule • Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). • Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers and customers.
Required Education: Graduation from an accredited medical school. Post Doctorate degree. Residency documentation; fellowship information if applicable.
Required Experience: Qualified fellow or 2 yrs. clinical experience in pain management required.
Required Licensure/Certification: Licensed in Louisiana and with the DEA. Board certified or Board Eligible in Pain Management/Medicine or Anesthesiology.
