**Neurology Opening in New Hampshire**
Located in Berlin, NH
Seeking a full-time (4.0 or 4.5 days/week) neurologist to join a highly productive, skilled, and popular neurology and selected outreach clinic sites to help meet clinical demands for services and build a neurology service a system of 3 Critical Access Hospitals.
Provides office-based general neurology services to new and established patients (adolescents age 16 and older as well as adults) including:
- Medication management
- Education and counseling of patients and families
- Ordering diagnostic tests
- Referral to related other specialties (e.g., cardiology, orthopedics, pain management, pulmonology, sleep medicine) locally
- Referral to subspecialty neurologists at tertiary care centers
- Communication with PCPs.
Most commonly diagnoses encountered are:
- Migraine
- Memory Loss
- Essential Tremor
- Parkinson's Disease
- Cognitive Impairment
- Dizziness
- Epilepsy
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Polyneuropathy
- Headache
Partners with other members of neurology team (e.g., neurologist colleague, radiologist, EEG technologists, MAs and RNs, physical therapists). Infrequently provides consultation for inpatients (0-3 times/week). More often provides curbside (unofficial) consultations to hospitalist and arranges to see patient in timely manner (
