Schedule: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (Monday - Friday)

We currently have an opening for a full-time _Neurologist_ to work at the Langley Airforce Base in Hampton, Virginia. The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements.

Requirements

  • Board Certified in Adult Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, OR the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.
  • M.D or DO degree.
  • Successful completion a Neurology residency approved by the American Counsil of Graduate Medical Education.
  • Foreign medical graduates must have ECFMG.
  • Have a current and unrestricted Medical License to practice medicine in any US state of territory.
  • Current BLS
  • DEA registration.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must have at least 24 months of experience within the last 36 months.
  • Must have been involved in inpatient and emergency Neurology consultation within the past year.
  • Must have knowledge and have used Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology (AHLTA).

Scope of Work

  • Examine, diagnose and treat diseases and disorders of the nervous system.
  • Provide outpatient services for patients as scheduled by the government.
  • Shall provide inpatient care/outpatient care.
  • Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergency problems as they occur.
  • Capable of performing lumbar punctures.
  • Capable of performing and interpreting nerve conduction studies and electromyography.
  • Capable of performing evoked potentials and electroencephalograms.
