Locums | Neurosurgery | Tampa, FL (FL or IMLC) Why This Role

  • FL or IMLC accepted
  • 5-7 days/month, prefer 5 consecutive
  • Board certified
  • Clinic + OR + call, strong APP support (5 PA/NPs)
  • Ongoing need — locums-to-perm potential
Assignment Details Start/end: ASAP, ongoing; 5-7 days/month (ideally 5 consecutive) Schedule: Outpatient clinic, OR, and call coverage, all in-house in Neurocare; after-hours calls from 5PM for outpatient case questions (respond via phone); beeper call, 30-min response; sign out/hand off to incoming physicians Coverage type: Scheduled clinical hours + call, inpatient and outpatient Volume: Varies Setting: Level 2 trauma, stroke certified; transfer center calls, ER calls, record plan in chart within 30 minutes; non-emergent cases sent to BMG surgeons Support: 2 RNs, 2 MAs, 5 PA/NPs, 6 office staff EMR: Cerner Credentialing: ~60 days; temp privileges available Clinical Details Required scope: Neurosurgery clinic, OR, and call coverage; cover emergency/urgent cases Preferred scope: General neurosurgery (adult, pediatric, neonate, trauma), cerebrovascular (open, endovascular), carotid/vertebral artery surgery, aneurysm clipping, tumors, stereotactic radiosurgery, VP shunt, skull base, spinal surgery with and without instrumentation, peripheral nerve, pain procedures, endovascular, ICP monitors Rounds on assigned and unassigned patients Requirements Board certified in Neurosurgery License: FL or IMLC ACLS, BLS, PALS Active DEA Compensation Rate negotiable, open to your number Malpractice provided Travel and lodging reimbursed
