Job description
We are seeking a Neurologist for a locum tenens position in Longview, WA. This is a combined inpatient and outpatient general neurology assignment covering both clinic and hospital-based consultative services. Please see below for more information.
- Acute care hospital
- 122 beds
- Adult Level III/IV trauma center
- Epic EMR
Job Responsibilities
Practice independently in general neurology, managing an established clinic and hospital service line
Staff an outpatient neurology clinic with an average daily volume of 16 patients
Round on an inpatient neurology census averaging 18 patients
Perform admissions and rounding
Provide in-house neurology consultations
Perform and interpret EEG and EMG studies as part of routine clinical activity
Maintain active clinical activity in general neurology, including procedural work
Manage adolescent through geriatric patients, ages 17 and older
Deliver care across clinic and hospital services located within a single site
Qualifications
Active Washington state medical license required; will explore providers with IMLC
DEA required
BLS required
ACLS required
EEG and EMG procedural competency required
Epic EMR charting proficiency required
Working Hours
24-hour call required in addition to scheduled clinic hours
Call is unrestricted (beeper)
Call and text volume is typically 0-4 in a 24-hour period, managed by phone
In-house consults are conducted when onsite
