Locums | Neurosurgery | Eureka, CA (CA license) Why This Role

  • General and trauma neurosurgery with complex spine
  • Defined blocks, November through January
  • No airway certifications required
  • Ongoing need — locums-to-perm potential
  • Fluoro certification accepted as temp
Assignment Details Start/end: 11/21-12/9 and 12/27-1/6; ongoing Schedule: Clinic and call weekdays 8:30a-5p (regular rate, includes daytime call), night call 5p-8:30a (night call rate); weekends 24-hour call; beeper call, 20-30 min response. May not be in clinic all 5 days Coverage type: Scheduled clinical hours + call, inpatient and outpatient Volume: ~5 patients/shift Setting: Level 3 trauma, stroke certified Support: 1 PA/NP, MAs EMR: Epic Credentialing: ~90 days Clinical Details Required scope: General adult and trauma neurosurgery, spinal surgery with and without instrumentation (cervical, thoracic, lumbar), placement of ICP monitors; will see complex spine cases Preferred scope: Tumors, VP shunt, application of external traction Active fluoroscopy required (temp fluoro accepted) Requirements Board certified (truly board eligible within 3-5 years considered; BC preferred) Fellowship License: CA required Active fluoro; no airway certifications required Active DEA Compensation Rate caps apply per facility Malpractice provided Travel and lodging reimbursed
