Coverage Type: Call Only
Coverage: 1–2 weeks per month preferred
Practice Details:
- Inpatient Neurology coverage
- Coverage for Stroke and General Neurology
- 24-hour in-house call coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
- Patient volume: 10–15 patients per shift
- EMR: Epic
- Hospital is Stroke Certified
- Supervision of Advanced Practice Providers required
Advanced Practice Provider Support:
- 3 Nurse Practitioners dedicated to stroke coverage (1–2 per shift)
- 1 Nurse Practitioner providing General Neurology coverage:
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Neurology
- Fellowship preferred
- Active Louisiana license or IMLC eligibility
- BLS & ACLS required
