Position Overview

An outpatient neurology practice is seeking a Headache Fellowship-trained Neurologist to provide coverage in a structured, well-supported clinical environment. This role focuses on the evaluation and management of patients with migraine and complex headache disorders, including procedural treatments.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with migraine and headache disorders
• Perform Botox injections for chronic migraine treatment
• Administer occipital nerve block injections
• Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up visits
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care

Schedule & Volume

• Monday – Friday
• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 12–15 patients per day

Clinical Details

• Setting: Outpatient only
• Procedures Required:
  • Botox injections
  • Occipital nerve blocks
• Cases Seen:
  • Chronic migraine
  • Tension headaches
  • Cluster headaches
  • Other complex headache syndromes

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
• Required: Headache Fellowship training
• Active or eligible for Connecticut medical license
• Experience with Botox and nerve block procedures preferred

Support Staff

• Medical Assistant
• Registered Nurse
• Front Desk/Administrative support

Additional Details

• No mandatory call (preferred but not required)
• Travel assignment with structured outpatient workflow
• Overtime:
  • Daily OT after 12 hours
  • Weekly OT after 168 hours
