### Locums | Neurosurgery | Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call | California ### Why This Role
- Mix of clinic and call with complex spine cases
- Opportunity for ongoing coverage with repeat blocks
- Support staff including APP assistance
- Expedited privileges possible for clean candidates ### Assignment Details
- Start Date: April 30, 2026 (preferred)
- End Date: Ongoing
- Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
- Setting: Inpatient + Outpatient
- Schedule: - Weekdays: 8:30a–5p (clinic + call included) - Night Call: 5p–8:30a - Weekends: 24-hour call
- EMR: Epic
- Patients per Day: ~5
- Credentialing: ~30 days (temps available)
- Will accept multiple providers: Yes ### Requirements
- Board Certified Neurosurgery (preferred) or BE within 3–5 years
- Active CA license and CA DEA
- Fluoro certification required
- Clean malpractice (required for expedited privileges)
- 100 case logs within past 24 months
- NPDB and complete credentialing file required ### Clinical Details
- General neurosurgery with focus on spine
- Complex spine cases (instrumentation required)
- Trauma cases
- ICP monitor placement
- Mix of clinic, inpatient, and call coverage
- Beeper call with 20–30 min response time
- Supported by PA/NP and clinic staff ### Compensation
- Rates: Facility is accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided
- Lodging: Up to ~$3,500/month if long-term
- Travel: Per facility guidelines
