Practice Setting
- Mix of inpatient and outpatient neurosurgery.
- Adult and geriatric focus with minimal pediatric cases.
- Collaborative environment with Clinic RN and Medical Assistant support.
- Average of 7 new consults and 4-8 surgical cases per day.
Schedule
- Only 7 days per month needed starting this summer.
- Block scheduling available for efficient travel and maximum time off.
- Rotating schedule allows you to choose dates that work for you.
- 24-hour call coverage required during scheduled blocks.
Procedures and Cases
- Comprehensive Brain and Spine complex cases.
- Inpatient rounding and surgical consults.
- Full neurosurgery procedures excluding aneurysms.
Requirements
- Illinois medical license required.
- Minimum of 24 months of experience.
- Current DEA certification.
Credentialing Requirements
- Board Certified in Neurological Surgery.
- 60-90 day timeframe for full privileges.
