Position Overview

The Neurologist will diagnose and treat a wide range of neurological disorders in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex neurological conditions through patient history, examinations, and diagnostic testing

• Perform comprehensive physical and neurological examinations

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including MRIs, blood work, spinal fluid tests, and other neuroimaging studies

• Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans

• Prescribe medications and administer appropriate treatments

• Counsel patients and families on neurological disorders and care plans

• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed

• Coordinate supportive care services when appropriate

• Communicate clearly with patients regarding treatment plans and home care instructions

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology

• Accreditation with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)

• Completion of an accredited Neurology residency program

• Active New York State Medical License

• Current DEA and DPS registration

• Urgent Care or Emergency Department experience preferred

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
