Position Overview
The Neurologist will diagnose and treat a wide range of neurological disorders in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities

Diagnose complex neurological conditions through patient history, examinations, and diagnostic testing

Perform comprehensive physical and neurological examinations

Order and interpret diagnostic tests including MRIs, blood work, spinal fluid tests, and other neuroimaging studies

Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans

Prescribe medications and administer appropriate treatments

Counsel patients and families on neurological disorders and care plans

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed

Coordinate supportive care services when appropriate

Communicate clearly with patients regarding treatment plans and home care instructions
Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology

Accreditation with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)

Completion of an accredited Neurology residency program
-
Active New York State Medical License
-
Current DEA and DPS registration
-
Urgent Care or Emergency Department experience preferred

Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
