Outstanding Neurology opportunity in St. Louis, Missouri with a well-established and highly respected team. Job Responsibilities
• Support inpatient consult needs and admissions as assigned
• Manage assigned rounding responsibilities for continuity of care
• Participate in light call coverage as scheduled
• Interpret EEG and EMG when applicable
• Collaborate with APPs and supervise clinical support staff as required
• Coordinate patient care plans with interdisciplinary neuroscience teams
Qualifications
• Board Certified required
• BLS required
• PALS required
• Ability to supervise Advanced Practice Providers required
• Fellowship not required but strong preference for interest or training in Clinical Neurophysiology, Neuromuscular Disease, or Headache Medicine
Working Hours
• Duration: Ongoing
• Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours plus call
• Call Type: Beeper call
• Call Response Time: 30 minutes
• Average patient volume: Approximately 12 patients per shift
• Outpatient and inpatient coverage required
Skills
• Ability to interpret radiologic exams unofficially
• Lumbar puncture capability
• EEG reading ability
• EMG and NCV testing experience
• Brain death exam competency
• Thrombolytic therapy familiarity
• Strong diagnostic and therapeutic neurology evaluation skills
• Ability to collaborate with Neurohospitalist teams and specialty services
