Job description
ATC West Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified Neurologist to provide onsite and call coverage beginning March 2026. This role combines daytime inpatient/outpatient clinical coverage with after-hours night call and 24-hour weekend call responsibilities. The position supports both hospital-based neurology care and limited outpatient clinic services.
Dates & Schedule
Coverage dates are intermittent from March through July 2026, including:

March 2026: 3/2, 3/5, 3/23, 3/27

April 2026: 4/27

May 2026: 5/1, 5/3, 5/8, 5/25, 5/28, 5/31

June 2026: 6/5, 6/22, 6/25, 6/28

July 2026: 7/3
Daily Schedule (when applicable):

Onsite coverage: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
-
Night call: 4:30 PM – 8:00 AM
-
24-hour weekend call when scheduled
Job Details & Responsibilities

Provide inpatient and outpatient neurology coverage
-
Outpatient clinic hours during onsite shifts:
-
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Expected patient volume: 6–8 patients per day
-
Remain onsite to provide hospital coverage even when outpatient volume is low
-
Read inpatient and outpatient EEGs as needed
-
Participate in after-hours call coverage, including weekends
-
EMR system: Cerner
Procedures Required:
-
Radiologic exam interpretation
-
Lumbar puncture (spinal tap)
-
EEG
-
Brain death examination
-
Evoked potentials
Required Skills & Qualifications
-
Board Certified in Neurology (Board Eligible not accepted)
-
Active Michigan medical license at time of submission
-
Active DEA registration
-
BLS and ACLS certifications (NIH Stroke Scale/tPA competency preferred)
-
Experience performing required neurology procedures
-
Clean malpractice history (carrier and coverage limits required)

Ability to meet occupational health requirements, including:
-
Hep B, MMR, Varicella (vaccines or titers)
-
Current flu vaccine
-
COVID documentation
-
TB screening within 12 months
-
Tdap within the last 10 years
-
Additional Notes

Reverse invoicing via DocTime (no paper timesheets)

Availability and preferred shift types must be clearly listed at submission
