Locum Tenens – Physician – Neurology
Petoskey, Michigan
Position Type: Locum Tenens

Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM onsite + night call + 24-hr weekend call
Start Date: 03/01/2026
End Date: Ongoing coverage (multiple dates through July 2026)
Position Details:
Patient Population: Adult
Setting: Inpatient + Outpatient Clinic + Call
Responsibilities:
- Onsite clinic coverage during regular hours
- Inpatient and after-hours call coverage
- 24/7 inpatient call
- EEG interpretation for inpatient and outpatient cases
- Provide hospital coverage even if clinic schedule is light
Required Procedures:
- Radiologic exam interpretation
- Lumbar puncture (spinal tap)
- EEG
- Brain death examination
- Evoked potentials
EMR System: Cerner
Support Staff: Hospital-based team
Days Per Month: Varied (specific coverage blocks)
On-Call/Weekends:
- Night call: 4:30 PM – 8:00 AM
- 24-hour weekend call required
- Call back paid hourly
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified in Neurology (BE not accepted)
- Active Michigan license at name clear
- Active DEA
- BLS & ACLS (NIH Stroke Scale/tPA preferred)
- Clean malpractice history with carrier and limits listed
- Availability and preferred shift type clearly stated
