Job Responsibilities

  • Provide neurological care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Interpret radiologic exams and perform EEGs, lumbar punctures, brain death examinations, and evoked potentials.
  • Cover night and weekend calls as scheduled.
  • Maintain accurate documentation through the EMR system (Cerner).

Qualifications

  • Active Michigan medical license and DEA certification required.
  • Board Certification in Neurology required.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications preferred, along with NIH Stroke Scale/tPA competency.
  • Clean malpractice record required.

Working Hours

  • Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Night Call: 4:30 PM – 8:00 AM
  • Weekend Call: 24-hour coverage

Skills

  • Proficiency in radiologic exam interpretation and EEGs.
  • Ability to perform lumbar punctures and brain death examinations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to manage complex cases and work independently during call hours.
