Job Title: Locum Physician - Neurology

Join a dedicated team at a leading healthcare facility in Petoskey, Michigan, looking for a Neurologist to provide locum coverage starting in March 2026. This vibrant community boasts a supportive work environment, modern facilities, and offers a chance to make a meaningful impact in patient care. Regular clinic hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and the physician will have after-hours call responsibilities, as well as weekend coverage.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide onsite hospital coverage and outpatient neurology services.
• Conduct EEG reads for inpatient and outpatient cases as needed.
• Manage 6-8 patients per day.
• Perform necessary procedures, including but not limited to:
  • Radiologic Exam Interpretation
  • Lumbar Puncture (Spinal Tap)
  • EEG
  • Brain Death Examination
  • Evoked Potentials
• Participate in night and weekend call rotations.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Neurology (BE not accepted).
• Active Michigan medical license.
• Active DEA certification.
• BLS and ACLS certifications preferred.
• Clean malpractice history.
• Availability and preferred shift type clearly listed.

License & Certification Requirements

• Michigan medical license (required at the time of name clear).
• Board Certification in Neurology.
• Active DEA registration.
• BLS and ACLS certifications (NIH Stroke Scale/tPA competency preferred).
