Locum Neurohospitalist (On-Call Coverage)

Bon Secours Mercy Health – St. Elizabeth Youngstown is seeking one locum Neurohospitalist to provide on-call coverage on an ASAP and ongoing basis.

Assignment Details

• Location: St. Elizabeth Youngstown, Ohio

• Practice Setting: Hospital-based, adult inpatient services

• Coverage Type: On-call

• EMR: Epic

• Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days

Patient Volume (Average per Day)

• Admissions: 9–10

• ICU: ~10 patients

• ED Consults: 2–5

• ICU Beds: 20

• Rounding on all adult floors

Team & Support

• APP coverage available

• No supervision of other providers required

Required Neurology Procedures

• Unofficial radiologic exam interpretation

• EEG and EMG

• Brain death exams

• Evoked potentials

• Dysphagia screening

Required Hospitalist Skills

• Ventilation management

• Evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues

• EKG interpretation

Conditions Managed

• Autoimmune encephalitis

• Acute myasthenia gravis exacerbations

• Guillain-Barré syndrome

• Refractory epilepsy

• Meningitis

• Headache disorders

• Primary and secondary brain cancers

• Delirium

Travel

• Lodging reimbursed up to approximately $150 per night

• Standard/economy travel approved

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified in Neurology (required)

• Active Ohio medical license (required)

• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)

• COVID vaccination (required at name clear)

• Flu vaccination (required at credentialing)

• NPDB self-query dated within 30 days of presentation (required)
