OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center is seeking an Interventional Neurologist to support and expand its Comprehensive Stroke Program. This is a high-priority, ongoing opportunity offering a blend of neurointerventional procedures, inpatient neurology, and outpatient clinic work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The position is ideal for physicians who enjoy procedural stroke care while remaining clinically engaged across inpatient and consult services. Strong APP support and close collaboration with neurosurgery and hospitalist teams are central to this role.

Job Responsibilities

Perform neurointerventional and endovascular procedures consistent with a comprehensive stroke program

Provide general neurology coverage as needed

Manage an average inpatient census of ~15 patients, including consults, admissions, and ER cases

Serve as primary call contact for CareHub transfer calls related to neurology and neurointerventional cases

Collaborate closely with adult hospitalists, neurosurgery, ICU teams, and regional referral facilities

Work in partnership with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) across neurointerventional and neurosurgical services

Act as collaborating physician and sign APP collaboration agreements

Participate in shared service coverage as APPs supplement care based on procedural volume and census

Qualifications

Board Certified in Neurology (Interventional Neurology experience required)

Active Illinois medical license (IMLC not accepted)

Active Illinois DEA

Minimum 1 year of post-training experience

ACLS and BLS certification required

Clean professional background (malpractice / NPDB)

MD or DO accepted

Working Hours

24-hour shifts

3 clinic days per week

Clinic days are 12-hour clinic shifts with night call

Weekends: Call coverage only (no clinic)

Must be available for a minimum of 7 consecutive shifts

Estimated 21 shifts per month

Skills

Strong procedural expertise in neurointerventional and endovascular techniques

Comfortable managing acute stroke, inpatient neurology, and consult services

Ability to function effectively in a Level I Trauma Center environment

Excellent communication and teamwork skills across multidisciplinary services

Efficient clinical decision-making in high-acuity settings

Experience working alongside and supervising APPs
