Job Title: Neuro-Hospitalist (MD/DO)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Neuro-Hospitalist to provide specialized inpatient care for patients with neurological conditions. The Neuro-Hospitalist will manage acute and complex neurological cases, coordinating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role emphasizes high-quality, patient-centered care within a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage hospitalized patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, seizures, neuro-infections, and neuromuscular disorders.

  • Perform and interpret neurological examinations, imaging studies, and other diagnostic tests relevant to inpatient care.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare providers.

  • Provide timely consultations to hospital teams, including critical care and surgical services.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, ensuring clear communication with patients, families, and care teams.

  • Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education related to neurology and hospital medicine.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.

  • Completion of residency in Neurology (or Internal Medicine with Neurology experience) and board certification or eligibility in Neurology.

  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of employment.

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to manage complex inpatient neurological cases.

Work Environment:

  • Inpatient hospital setting, including ICU, step-down, and general medical floors.

  • Collaborative team environment with opportunities for professional development and continuing education.
