Practice Setting
- Inpatient setting focused on Adult patient ages.
- High-level support staff including 9 RNs and 5 APPs.
- Volume averages 10 consults and 10 stroke activations per 24 hours (shared with APPs).
Schedule
- Ongoing need for a 6+ month assignment.
- Flexible schedule with shift types including 7a-7p, 7p-7a, and 7a-1p.
- Block scheduling is a possibility; choose dates that work with your schedule.
- PRN coverage potential to pick up shifts when it fits your schedule.
Procedures and Cases
- Admit patients for stroke with TNK or mechanical thrombectomy.
- Read transcranial dopplers for the comprehensive center.
- All other admits are managed by Hospitalist/Intensivist under Neurohospitalist direction.
- Potential virtual set up for some duties.
Requirements
- Board Certified in Neurology.
- BLS certification is required.
- Must have a minimum of 12 months of experience.
Credentialing Requirements
- Credentialing timeframe is 90 days; temps available to start sooner.
- Must hold an active Missouri license or an active IMLC Letter of Qualification.
