GENERAL NEUROLOGY – FULL-TIME LOCUM TENENS OPPORTUNITY

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM + Rotating Call
Holiday Schedule: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, Christmas Eve (½ day starting at noon)
POSITION OVERVIEW
A full-time General Neurology locum provider is needed to support an ongoing department need. The role includes outpatient clinic, inpatient consults, EEG reads, and rotating call coverage. A sleep lab is on-site, and sleep providers share portions of call. This is a high-volume, multi-provider Neurology department seeking consistent long-term support.
CLINICAL DUTIES
- Outpatient Neurology:
- Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- General Neurology consultations and follow-up visits
- Coordination with department neurologists and NP
- Inpatient Neurology:
- Neurology consults as needed
- Collaboration with hospitalists and inpatient teams
- EEG & Additional Responsibilities:
- EEG interpretation required
- Sleep lab available on-site (sleep providers share sleep-related call responsibilities)
CALL REQUIREMENTS
- Phone call only
- Call rotation: 1:5 on weekdays and weekends
- Rotating schedule with 3 department neurologists and 1 NP
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- EMR: Cerner
- Support Staff: Department RN/MA support, EEG technologists, sleep lab staff
- Credentialing timeline: Approximately 60 days
- AHA-required life support certifications (ACLS/BLS via AHA only)
CERTIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS
- No special certifications beyond standard licensure + AHA life support (required)
- Telehealth: Not required
- Outpatient and Inpatient coverage required
- Provider Type: Physician (Neurology)
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Board-certified Neurologist
- Comfortable with general neurology outpatient + inpatient consults
- Experienced with EEG interpretation
- Able to participate in a 1:5 call rotation
- Comfortable joining a multi-provider Neurology department
- Available for full-time, ongoing commitment
