Position Summary

The group is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Inpatient Neurologist to join its hospital-based neurology service in Germantown, MD.

This full-time, long-term role offers an ideal balance of independence and team support while working in a patient-centered setting. The ideal candidate brings a solid background in inpatient neurology and a dedication to providing high-quality, compassionate care.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Provide neurological consultations and evaluations for admitted patients.

  • Manage a spectrum of acute neurologic cases including stroke, seizure, headache, and neuromuscular conditions.

  • Work closely with hospitalists, intensivists, and specialty teams to deliver coordinated care.

  • Interpret neuroimaging and related diagnostic tests.

  • Participate in clinical rounds, interdisciplinary discussions, and case reviews.

  • Document care accurately and promptly in the EMR system.

  • Support quality improvement, protocol development, and continuing education programs.

Qualifications

  • Education: MD or DO degree.

  • Certification: Board Certified/Eligible in Neurology; eligible for Maryland state licensure.

  • Experience: Prior inpatient neurology experience preferred; new graduates encouraged.

  • Skills: Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and teamwork abilities.
