Neurology Hospitalist – Elmira, NY Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neurologist Will serve the Horseheads/Corning/Elmira, NY area with a strong reputation for clinical excellence and patient-centered care. We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neurologist Hospitalist to join our dynamic and growing inpatient neurology team. ________________________________________ Job Summary As a Neurology Hospitalist, you will provide inpatient neurology consultation and management services for patients with acute and subacute neurological conditions such as stroke, seizures, encephalopathy, and other complex disorders. You will work closely with hospitalists, intensivists, emergency physicians, and subspecialty teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care in a collaborative hospital setting. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Provide inpatient neurology consultations and ongoing management of hospitalized patients. • Diagnose and treat a wide range of neurological conditions. • Interpret neuroimaging and EEG studies (if applicable). • Participate in stroke response and acute stroke code management. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. • Provide education and guidance to residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers. • Ensure accurate documentation and billing in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. • Perform and interpret EMG/NCS studies (desirable). ________________________________________ Qualifications • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution. • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology. • Valid and unrestricted New York State medical license (or eligibility). • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Commitment to teamwork and excellence in inpatient neurology care. ________________________________________ Compensation & Benefits • Competitive base salary: $340,000–$390,000, plus productivity-based incentives. • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance. • Malpractice coverage (occurrence-based). • CME allowance and paid time off. • Retirement plan with employer contributions. ________________________________________ Why Join Us • Be part of a collaborative, collegial, and growing neurology team. • Opportunity to shape and expand an evolving inpatient neurology program. • Work in a vibrant community with excellent schools, cultural amenities, and abundant outdoor recreation in the scenic Finger Lakes region.
