General Neurologist – Outpatient + Neurodiagnostics (Northern California | Near Bay Area)
Start Date: January 2026
Location: County Hospital in Northern California (near the Bay Area)
Contract Length: 6 months, ongoing
Schedule: 12 clinic shifts + 6 neurodiagnostic days per month
Type: Locum Tenens / Contract
- Coverage Needed: 12 clinic shifts (AM or PM sessions) + 6 neurodiagnostic days per month
- Clinic Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Schedule: 2–3 clinic days per week (no 4x10s or 12-hour shifts)
- Patient Volume: ~12 patients per day
- Appointment Length: 30 minutes (new patients), 15 minutes (follow-ups)
- EMR: Epic
- Expected Assignment Length: Ongoing while permanent recruitment is in progress
- Credentialing Timeline: 6–8 weeks
Responsibilities
- Provide general neurology care (headache, epilepsy, movement disorders, memory/aging diseases)
- Conduct EEGs and neurodiagnostic studies (experience with Cadwell equipment a plus)
- Optional: Inpatient rounding opportunities available but not required
- Perform procedures such as lumbar punctures as needed
Qualifications
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in General Neurology
- Licensure: Active California medical license required
