- Lead the adult Epilepsy Program and guide EMU development and operations.
- Build and oversee a high-quality seizure/epilepsy monitoring program.
- Partner with administration on staffing, resource requirements, and capital planning.
- Interpret and report EEGs (Paterson/Wayne) and supervise EEG reading panel.
- Lead CQI/PI initiatives and ensure timely, accurate EEG reporting.
- Provide education for technologists and nursing staff on EEG and monitor protocols.
- Review and optimize equipment, maintenance, and vendor utilization.
- Conduct combined adult/pediatric epilepsy conferences and case reviews.
- Deliver Grand Rounds and educational lectures, lead epilepsy teaching rounds.
- Support marketing and outreach to community and referring physicians.
- Attend required Neurology/Medicine meetings and complete assigned duties.
- The salary range for this position and final compensation package will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and prior experience.
Job Responsibilities
• Participate in general neurology call (approx. 1:4).
• Precept Neurology Clinic weekly; collaborate with APNs.
• Read and interpret EEGs.
• Maintain private practice clinic (epilepsy + general neurology).
• Participate in clinical research/clinical trials.
• Contribute to guideline development for Neurology, Epilepsy, and EMU.
• Participate in QI/PI initiatives in the Division of Neurology.
• Teach residents and students; provide lectures/Grand Rounds/M&M.
• Maintain board certification and pursue a focused clinical interest area.
