- Seeking a Board-Certified Neurologist to provide inpatient and outpatient locum coverage.
- This position involves clinic hours, hospital rounding, and call responsibilities.
- Providers will work within a collaborative neurology group supported by APPs, ancillary staff, and access to on-site imaging and lab services.
Job Responsibilities
• Cover scheduled clinic hours (8am–5pm) and call shifts (5pm–8am weekdays, 24-hour weekend call)
• Interpret radiologic exams (unofficial), perform EEGs, EMGs, and brain death exams
• Manage 8 clinic patients per day on average; 3 hospital-based patients daily
• Work collaboratively with existing neurologists, APPs, and support staff
• Document patient care using Epic/Connect Care EHR
Qualifications
• Active Virginia medical license – Required at submission
• Active Virginia DEA – Required at submission
• BLS certification – Required
• Flu vaccination – Required at credentialing
• COVID vaccination – Preferred
• COI coverage of $2.7M/$8.1M (if requested by facility) – Required
Working Hours
• Call: 5:00 pm – 8:00 am (weekdays), 24 hours (weekends)

o 10/13 – 10/20
o 10/20 – 10/27
o 11/3 – 11/10
o 11/17 – 11/24
Skills
• EEG, EMG, Brain Death Exams proficiency
• Strong inpatient and outpatient clinical management
• Ability to collaborate within a small neurology team
• Familiarity with Epic/Connect Care
