Neurohospitalist Stroke Program Director – Atlanta, Georgia

A leading healthcare system in Atlanta seeks a board-certified Neurologist to serve as the Stroke Program Director within its Neurohospitalist team. This permanent opportunity is ideal for an experienced provider with proven leadership skills who is eager to guide a growing, hospital-employed practice.
Position Overview
Direct the Inpatient Neurohospitalist Program across two local hospitals:
Hospital 1: 696 beds, Level II Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center
Hospital 2: 120 beds, Primary Stroke Center (no trauma designation)
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of 6 Neurohospitalists; 3 dedicated to a single facility.
Monday to Friday schedule, 8am–5pm, with 20 hours of administrative time weekly and substantial flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of inpatient neurohospitalist operations at both facilities.
Oversee stroke program initiatives and quality improvement projects.
Serve as a primary liaison among physicians, advanced practitioners, hospital leadership, and rotating GME residents (note: not Neurology residents).
Practice Details
No Neuro ICU coverage required.
No call responsibilities.
EEG interpretation is optional; procedures available as needed on-site.
Advanced practitioners to be added for additional clinical support in the future.
