Position Overview:

We've got an exciting opportunity for a Texas-licensed physician in Austin. As a full-time Neurologist, you'll play a pivotal role in your patients’ care to diagnose, assess, manage, and treat various levels of brain injuries in an outpatient setting. Our collaborative approach involves working with a diverse team, including chiropractors, pain management physicians, orthopedists, and behavioral health providers.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough neurological examinations and assessments with a focus on evidence-based care.
  • Diagnosing and treating various brain injuries.
  • Developing and implementing patient care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
  • Prescribing medications and treatments.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Documenting patient histories, examination findings, and treatment plans.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
  • Communicating effectively with medical assistants and other support staff.
  • Communicating clearly and effectively with patients.
  • Educating patients about their medical conditions and treatment options.
  • Providing empathetic and compassionate care.
  • Adhering to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
  • Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.

Qualifications:

  • Actively licensed physician in good standing in the State of Texas.
  • Board certification or eligible in Neurology with additional training or experience in Brain Injury Medicine.
  • 2+ years of practice experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current BLS certification, board certification, and DEA certification.
  • Verbal and written Spanish skills are a plus, but not required.

Expectations:

  • Efficient time management in our busy clinics.
  • Timely completion of notes/charting in the patient's medical record.
  • Full adherence to HIPAA rules and regulations and ethical considerations of the practice of medicine.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • A Monday through Friday schedule during regular business hours with no hospital call.
  • Employee position starting at $450k base. Total compensation commensurate with experience.
  • Paid holidays, PTO, health insurance, HSA, and 401k available after 90 days
  • All licensing renewals paid, including a budget for CMEs.
  • Malpractice insurance.
  • Signing bonus and paid relocation expenses are negotiable.
