- Coverage Needed:
- ASAP - Ongoing
- Shifts are 12 hr shifts, Days or Nights to include weekends
- Clinical Information:
- There is a mid-level with a physician along with nursing staff
- Patient volume: 16-18
- 26 beds
- All patients admitted to this unit are now required to undergo evaluation by our team. If no critical care needs are identified, the case can be signed off. In instances where patients have complex medical conditions and the NeuroCrit physician is not comfortable on handling these type of patients, they will receive care from the physician assigned to the MICU, provided that this information is communicated to the MICU physician.
- Additionally, there will always be a midlevel provider (APP) working alongside the Neurocrit physician.
- Required:
- DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
- Current Flu Vaccine
- Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19
- Exemptions only allowed for religious or medical reasons, once approved by the facility.
- Must be Neurology and/or Neuro Critical Trained
- Neuro ICU experience is a plus
- Active KS License
- Transferrable DEA
- Board Certified/ Eligible in Neuro Critical Care
