Job Description

Last Update: 4/19/24

Are you a skilled and compassionate Neurologist seeking a rewarding career opportunity in a picturesque location? Look no further! Join our team at a thriving 25-bed Critical Access Hospital on the breathtaking Kenai Peninsula, Alaska.
Nestled amidst the awe-inspiring landscapes of the Kenai Peninsula, you'll discover a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. From world-class fishing and hiking to wildlife viewing and scenic drives along the coast, this area offers an unparalleled quality of life. Experience the magic of living amidst glaciers, pristine forests, and rugged coastline while enjoying a welcoming community and the unique charm of Kenai Peninsula living.

Position Highlights:
Join a collaborative team of healthcare professionals, in a vibrant, physician-friendly environment. Enjoy a fulfilling work-life balance with a 4-day work week, seeing an average of 10 patients a day in clinic. While EEG and EMG experience is required, we welcome candidates with TMS experience, though it's not mandatory. Pediatrics is a welcomed addition to your practice but not obligatory.
Bid farewell to night and weekend call duties, as this position has none! Say goodbye to stroke responsibilities and inpatient care, allowing you to focus solely on outpatient neurology.

Compensation:
We offer a generous compensation package, including a guaranteed base salary of $415,000 annually, and financial assistance for signing on and relocation. As an employed physician, you will benefit from a comprehensive benefits package, retirement plans, malpractice coverage, and an impressive 5 weeks of PTO, with an option for a .9 FTE that includes 10 weeks of PTO.

**Community Highlights:**
- Kenai Peninsula Lifestyle: Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the Kenai Peninsula. Accessible by an airport with 3 daily flights, this area offers the perfect blend of convenience and natural wonder.
- Outdoor Paradise: Experience world-class fishing, hunting, hiking, glacial kayaking, wildlife viewing, and photography in this outdoor enthusiast's haven.
- Vibrant Art Scene: Engage in a diverse and advanced art scene, earning recognition as "America's Best Small Art Town."
- Education Excellence: Enjoy access to the state's #3 rated high school offering STEM, APP, and Foreign Language programs.
