**Epileptologist Opening in Hartford, CT** Seeking a fellowship trained Epileptologist. Join in our mission of improving the lives of people with seizures throughout the state with specialized diagnostic and treatment tools. * Duties will include outpatient care for people with epilepsy, including EEG reading, and rotations in the EMU and LTM schedules. * The epilepsy specialists meet regularly to discuss complex cases, review EEGs, discuss journal articles, and share ideas. * Opportunity to work in a clinical setting balanced by an academic program structure through our partnership with neurology residency program. The Epilepsy Center offers: * The most advanced care for people of all ages with seizures and all forms of epilepsy * A Level 4 Accredited Epilepsy Center by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC) * The most advanced surgical treatments, including Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), and Responsive neurostimulation (RNS) * A full range of EEG types, 3T MRI, functional MRI, PET, Wada test, and epilepsy focused neuropsychological evaluations * A state of the art Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) in an ABRET accredited EEG lab staffed with registered EEG technologists. * SPECT studies with high quality image processing * Intracranial EEG monitoring, paired with sophisticated brain reconstruction software for exquisite electrode localization and seizure interpretation.
