Job description

Looking to make a real impact in pediatric care while also shaping the next generation of doctors? This is your chance to do both — in a community-focused, academically driven environment that’s expanding fast.

We’re seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Neurologist to join a growing Department of Pediatrics within a well-established academic health system located in Michigan's Great Lakes Bay region, 1.5 hrs to Detroit. You’ll play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care while teaching residents and medical students as part of a newly launched pediatric residency program.

This full-time, employed faculty role can be tailored to your career goals — whether you’re starting out or bring leadership experience to the table.

🩺 What You’ll Do

  • Provide care in both outpatient and inpatient settings

  • Handle neurology consults, with options to read EEGs and sleep studies

  • Educate and mentor residents and medical students

  • Participate in scholarly and research activities (time is built in!)

  • Help shape a comprehensive pediatric subspecialty team

💡 Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • Excellent salary based on MGMA private practice benchmarks, with incentive potential

  • Flexible scheduling and professional development support

  • A built-in referral base covering a large regional footprint

  • Collaborative environment with colleagues in multiple pediatric subspecialties

  • Opportunity to develop your own niche and grow with the program

🏡 More Reasons to Consider It

  • Work in a mid-size, welcoming community with low cost of living

  • Enjoy easy access to major cities and international travel

  • Take advantage of local attractions, outdoor activities, and family-friendly living

  • Ample housing options, short commutes, and a relaxed pace of life

What You’ll Need

  • MD/DO degree

  • Eligibility for medical licensure

  • BC/BE in Pediatric Neurology

  • Fellowship training preferred

  • Controlled Substance License (or ability to obtain)

  • Strong clinical skills and a passion for teaching

💼 What’s in the Compensation Package

  • Competitive salary and excellent benefits

  • Commencement/sign-on bonus

  • Relocation assistance

  • CME allowance + 5 days

  • Four (4) weeks of PTO

  • Malpractice coverage

  • Visa sponsorship available

  • Licensure reimbursement

You’ll be joining a team dedicated to providing the best care for children while investing in education and innovation. If you're ready to treat, teach, and lead — all in a flexible, supportive setting — let’s connect!
