Job Description

Last Update: 4/22/24

Cortica is seeking a pediatrician with a keen interest and passion to care for children with developmental differences and their families.

We are a rapidly growing healthcare company pioneering a unique, interdisciplinary approach to the care of children with neurodevelopmental conditions. We envision a world where seeing doctors, therapists and getting the best care for a child with autism or other developmental differences is easy. We serve a variety of patient populations including individuals with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, speech and language disorders, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, genetic conditions, and more.

Our centers are collaborative environments full of professionals who are passionate about serving this unique population.

The interdisciplinary team includes:

Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, EEG technicians, Counselors, Occupational Therapists, Speech-language Pathologists, Behavior Therapists (ABA), Music Therapists, and more.

Job Responsibilities

As a pediatrician on our care team, you’ll provide gold standard developmental and medical care to patients at Cortica. You’ll collaborate closely with cognitive-behavioral pediatric neurologists, epileptologists, and pediatric nurse practitioners to diagnose and treat genetic, metabolic, neurological, GI, and other conditions that commonly occur in children with autism and other developmental diagnoses. We provide in-depth training and ongoing education to support you to become an expert in the diagnosis and management of pediatric neurodevelopmental conditions. We use a wide range of medical therapies, including nutrition modification and supplementation, medication management, and neuromodulation (device therapeutics). You’ll receive training and support to learn to apply these therapies to optimize developmental outcomes for your patients. Cortica utilizes a comprehensive set of standardized assessments to track developmental outcomes. You’ll gain a deep understanding of these assessments and will use outcome metrics to guide your patients’ comprehensive therapy programs.

Physicians at Cortica generally spend 60 minutes for new-patient appointments and 30 minutes for follow-up appointments. Your schedule will be weekdays only with no evening or weekend coverage (no on-call requirements).

Qualifications

We’d love to hear from you if:

You care a lot about your patients
You have completed four years of medical school from an accredited university.
You have completed three years of residency training in pediatrics.
You are board certified or board eligible in pediatrics
You hold a current and unrestricted medical license within the state of provided care and open to pursuing other state licenses for remote coverage of other Cortica markets
