Become part of a physician-led, 600+-provider multispecialty group with a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care. In March of 2023 we opened a new, variable-acuity Neuro and Trauma ICU providing services for a full spectrum of complex, critically ill patients at the tertiary Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) – Boise (18 ICU beds/17 dual acuity Neuro step-down beds). This new state-of-the-art unit includes a portable CT scanner and continuous EEG monitoring. SARMC is the principal provider of advanced, innovative and interdisciplinary neurocritical care services within the region as part of a Level II ACS designated Trauma center and a designated TSE Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Join our robust team of fellowship-trained Neurointensivists, Neurosurgeons, and Critical Care-boarded Trauma Surgeons in caring for patients in Idaho’s only Neuro/Trauma ICU.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree;

  • Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA residency program in one of the following specialties: Neurology, Internal Medicine, Neurosurgery, Anesthesia, or Emergency Medicine; Neurology residency preferred

  • Successful completion of an accredited Neurocritical care fellowship program;

  • Obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC- Boise and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed;

  • Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.

Requirements include neurocritical care fellowship training with a sincere desire to practice in a high acuity ICU setting, managing complex, critically ill neurological inpatients and fostering a collaborative relationship with other intensivists both pulmonary and surgical critical care. Immediate intermittent robotic telemedicine consultation to our other SAHS hospitals for inpatient support and ultimate growth opportunity to fully support our hub and spoke telestroke program.
