Houston Neuro Critical Care Physician opportunity. Care for patients in ICU and do some Neurology consults. Work on a 40 bed ICU. The unit is split into 20 MICU and 20 Surgical including CV and Neuro. The hospital has two employed Neurosurgeons one Endovascular, one Brain and Spine, and another is being recruited. There are also two employed Cardiovascular Surgeons, and a team of other providers within the dedicated Neuroscience and Spine Center on campus. A Neurohospitalist is being added to the staff as well. The hospital is Certified as a Primary Stroke Center by DNV GI Healthcare, Inc. The hospital has also been awarded the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's Get With the Guidelines Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award with Target: StrokeSM Honor Roll Elite for excellence in stroke care. The hospital is not a trauma center.
