What is the position?

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Department of Internal Medicine (TTUHSC) is seeking applicants for the position of academic Nephrology Chief. The successful candidate will have the extraordinary opportunity to join TTUHSC at an exciting period of transition and growth. The renal division at TTUHSC which is expanding, has a fellowship training program and offers comprehensive clinical services including renal consultation service, chronic and acute hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, renal transplantation and busy CKD clinics. We currently have 3.5 faculty members, 2 nurse practitioners, and 2 fellows.

MD/DO -BE/BC -Fellowship completion -Demonstrated interest in teaching

What are my expected responsibilities/duties?

  • Patient Care in outpatient and inpatient setting.
  • Maintain regular nephrology outpatient clinics and dialysis rounds.
  • On a rotational basis, provide inpatient hospital service and outpatient clinic at Montford Correctional Facility.
  • Supervise, teach, and mentor residents and students.
  • Opportunities for clinical and basic research exist for candidates interested with track

record in investigation.
