We are seeking a board certified nephrologist in Wisconsin for an immediate and ongoing locum tenens assignment. During the week, the locum provider will be responsible for a combination of clinic and hospital work. Nephrology is a consult only service, and hospitalists handle all patient admissions. When on call, the response time for non-urgent consults is generally 24 hours. Urgent and/or emergent consults are expected to be seen within an hour. Locum providers will not be expected to round in outpatient dialysis units but may occasionally be required to see home patients. Additional responsibilities may include ordering outpatient hemodialysis, inpatient hemodialysis, CVVHD, and possibly peritoneal dialysis orders.
