Position Overview

One of our Partners is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Otolaryngologist for 24-hour call coverage in a high-acuity hospital setting.

This assignment offers structured 7-day call blocks with predictable volume, subspecialty support, and a balanced mix of consults and urgent procedures. Ideal for providers seeking short-term, high-impact coverage with consistent scheduling.

Provider Pay Ranking: Top ~20% of ENT locum call coverage roles (2026 market data)

Assignment Highlights

  • 24-hour call coverage (7a–7a)
  • Structured 1-week blocks per month
  • Trauma Level 1 facility
  • Call ratio: 1:4
  • Average callback: 4–6 hours/day
  • Support staff:
    • Plastics onsite
    • Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery available (offsite)
  • EMR: Epic
  • Adult + pediatric patient population
  • Travel reimbursed per policy

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide 24-hour ENT call coverage
  • Evaluate inpatient and ED consults
  • Perform emergent ENT procedures
  • Manage airway and trauma-related ENT cases
  • Coordinate care with surgical and specialty teams
  • Document all care in Epic

Skills & Experience

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology
  • Active Pennsylvania license (or ability to obtain)
  • Minimum 1 year experience
  • Trauma experience preferred
  • Comfortable with emergency ENT procedures
