A well-established and rapidly growing private nephrology practice in the desirable northern suburbs of Atlanta is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Nephrologist to join a collaborative, patient-centered team.
This practice currently includes two physicians and two nurse practitioners, fostering a collegial environment that values clinical excellence, teamwork, and long-term professional growth.

Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Fellowship-trained in Nephrology
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Current fellows encouraged to apply
- Ability to obtain/maintain Georgia medical license

Job Responsibilities
Clinical Care
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, including CKD stages 1–5.
Provide comprehensive management of hypertension, electrolyte disorders, glomerular diseases, and metabolic kidney conditions.
Manage patients requiring dialysis care, including hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
Provide inpatient nephrology consults at affiliated hospitals as needed.
Monitor and manage post-transplant kidney patients in collaboration with transplant centers.
Dialysis Oversight
Supervise and round at local dialysis centers.
Ensure appropriate dialysis prescriptions and monitor patient progress.
Collaborate with dialysis nursing teams, dietitians, and social workers to optimize patient outcomes.
Patient Management
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with kidney disease.
Order and interpret laboratory studies, imaging, and diagnostic tests.
Provide patient education regarding kidney health, lifestyle modification, and treatment options.
Collaboration & Team-Based Care
Work closely with nurse practitioners, primary care physicians, and hospitalists to coordinate patient care.
Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and care planning.
Provide guidance and supervision for advanced practice providers within the practice.
Practice Participation
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the EMR.
Participate in shared call rotation (1:3).
Contribute to practice growth through referral relationship development and community engagement.
Qualifications
Fellowship-trained in Nephrology
Board Certified or Board Eligible
Current fellows encouraged to apply
Ability to obtain/maintain Georgia medical license
Working Hours
Monday – Friday: Approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Combination of outpatient clinic, dialysis center rounding, and hospital consults
1:3 weekend call rotation
Shared after-hours call among physicians
Schedule designed to support work-life balance within a collaborative team
Typical Weekly Structure
3–4 days outpatient clinic
1–2 days hospital rounding and dialysis center visits
Administrative/charting time built into the schedule
Skills
Clinical Expertise
Strong knowledge of chronic kidney disease (CKD) management
Expertise in hypertension and electrolyte disorder management
Ability to diagnose and treat glomerular diseases and acute kidney injury (AKI)
Experience managing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients
Skilled in interpreting renal labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies
Procedural & Diagnostic Skills
Dialysis prescription and monitoring
Kidney disease treatment planning
Medication management for complex renal patients
Familiarity with renal replacement therapy protocols

Ability to build long-term relationships with patients and families
Strong patient education and counseling skills
Cultural sensitivity and compassionate bedside manner
