Required Skills:
  • Board Certification in Nephrology (BC required)
  • State Medical License for Tennessee
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong clinical skills in adult nephrology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced clinical setting

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with electronic medical records (Epic preferred)
  • Prior experience in both inpatient and outpatient nephrology services
  • Knowledge of dialysis management and procedures
  • Bilingual capabilities or additional language skills

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-residency/clinical nephrology experience
  • Proven track record in managing dialysis patients and complex nephrology cases

Other Requirements:
  • Clear and clean professional background
  • Willingness to work a schedule involving clinic hours and 24-hour call shifts
  • Credentialing completed within 60 days
  • No licensure sponsorship required; TN license necessary
  • All billable travel expenses (airfare, hotel, rental car, mileage) are covered

This position offers an hourly pay rate of $3,042, with additional rates for clinic, call, and callback duties. The schedule consists of 8-hour shifts from 08:00 to 16:30, Monday through Friday, with 24-hour call coverage.
