Why You’ll Love This Opportunity
  • Balanced workflow with both clinic and hospital responsibilities

  • A collaborative, supportive medical team

  • A patient population that values high-quality, attentive renal care

  • Opportunity to manage a wide range of kidney-related conditions—from early CKD to acute inpatient emergencies

Clinic Responsibilities (Outpatient)

You will provide comprehensive kidney care in a structured outpatient environment, including:

  • Managing patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD)

  • Reviewing lab results and monitoring trends in kidney function

  • Adjusting medications as appropriate

  • Managing hypertension and providing kidney-focused diabetes care

  • Addressing acute concerns such as acute kidney injury (AKI)

  • Working collaboratively with primary care providers and other specialists

Hospital Responsibilities (Inpatient)

In the hospital setting, you will evaluate and manage a typically busy inpatient service averaging 20–25 patients per day, including:

  • Responding to inpatient consults and managing ongoing cases

  • Reviewing overnight labs and assessing urine output

  • Monitoring vital signs and nursing reports

  • Reviewing dialysis notes and coordinating inpatient dialysis management

  • Evaluating new imaging (renal ultrasound, CT scans)

  • Managing AKI, electrolyte imbalances, and complex acid-base disorders

  • Providing timely, evidence-based recommendations to the care team
Qualifications
  • MD or DO with board certification/eligibility in Nephrology

  • Active state medical license (or ability to obtain)

  • Strong clinical judgement and communication skills

  • Ability to thrive in both outpatient and inpatient settings

  • Commitment to high-quality renal care and patient education
