Job description We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Nephrologist for a locum tenens assignment in West Virginia beginning Feb 2, 2026. This 77-day opportunity involves one week of coverage per month, with inpatient rounding, outpatient clinic, and both weekday and 24-hour weekend call. The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in a children's hospital setting and is board certified in Pediatric Nephrology.

Job Details

  • Schedule: One week of coverage every month (not the 3rd week), 7am-5pm shifts; inpatient rounding in the morning until 10am, followed by outpatient clinic until 5pm; weekday call and 24-hour out-of-house weekend call

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide inpatient rounding each morning until approximately 10am
  • Deliver outpatient clinic services following inpatient rounds until 5pm
  • Participate in weekday call coverage as required
  • Provide 24-hour out-of-house call coverage on weekends as assigned
  • Manage pediatric nephrology cases in both inpatient and outpatient settings

Additional Information
  • Must hold a current West Virginia medical license
  • Board certification in Pediatric Nephrology required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
  • Minimum two years of experience in a children's hospital setting
  • EMR: Epic
