We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Telemedicine Nephrology provider to join our innovative healthcare team. The Telemedicine Nephrology provider will deliver high-quality virtual care to patients with kidney-related conditions, providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management. This position offers the opportunity to leverage telehealth technologies to enhance access to care and improve patient outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual consultations with patients to assess kidney-related symptoms, medical history, and current health status.
• Perform thorough evaluations and diagnostic assessments, including reviewing laboratory results, imaging studies, and other relevant medical data.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based guidelines, patient preferences, and clinical judgment.
• Prescribe medications, order additional diagnostic tests, and recommend lifestyle modifications as appropriate.
• Educate patients and their families about kidney health, disease management, and preventive measures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including primary care physicians, specialists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
• Provide timely follow-up care to monitor treatment efficacy, adjust medications, and address any emerging issues or concerns.
• Utilize telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR) to document patient encounters, maintain accurate medical records, and ensure continuity of care.
• Stay current with advancements in nephrology research, treatment modalities, and telemedicine technologies through ongoing professional development and participation in educational activities.
• Adhere to established clinical protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements governing telemedicine practice.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Nephrology.
• Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
• Proven experience practicing nephrology in a clinical setting, with a strong foundation in diagnosing and managing kidney-related conditions.
• Proficiency in telemedicine platforms and digital health technologies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals remotely.
• Compassionate bedside manner and a patient-centered approach to care.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in clinical decision-making.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care while maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual healthcare environment, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in responding to patient needs and organizational priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience practicing telemedicine or providing virtual care services.
• Familiarity with chronic kidney disease (CKD) management, dialysis treatment, and renal transplantation.
• Proficiency in additional languages, particularly those commonly spoken by diverse patient populations.
• Active involvement in professional organizations, research projects, or quality improvement initiatives related to nephrology and telehealth.
